PRO DEO 1.0 (60m+10s)
Ed Schröder has released (on 1st August 2004) with Pro Deo
(version 1.0) the first freeware version of the former commercial REBEL chess program series. This is just great, many thanks to Ed Schröder for this engine. All Rebel fans - there are surely thousands of them - are and will be very happy.
On this site you will find a systematic test of Pro Deo 1.0 at time control 60m+10s starting with the 20 Nunn2 opening positions, 40 games each vs the strongest amateur and professional
programs. Hardware: Duron 1.3/256, P3 800/256, P3 650/128 with 40 MB hash for Pro Deo. The second test will be against the same engines but with all engines using their own books, book learning enabled. Ed Schröder hat am 1. August 2004 mit Pro Deo
